About The Book Project

The book “Life Is A Fork In The Road” offers the possibility that we are receiving guidance from within and beyond through our inner voice about the decisions that affect our life and work. Don has personally experienced this guidance and learned that others have too. But this possibility can only turn into a reality when enough people share their true life stories.

Don Shapiro created the website www.lifeisaforkintheroad.com to collect and share stories. He launched a worldwide community to share stories and offer insights into how our inner voice works on the book’s Facebook page at www.facebook.com/lifeisaforkintheroad . So far, over 11,000 people from 155 countries have joined the fan page and shared personal, heartfelt and sometimes painful experiences from their life that show the amazing power of our inner voice.  Through this community, much more has been learned about how the mysteries of our true inner voice. All the stories and comments combined are helping to shape the book’s conclusions.

Moving from stories that merely illustrate to proving that something is happening starts by asking the right questions. These are the questions “Life Is A Fork In The Road” seeks to answer:

  • Could some of these experiences have been a coincidence?
  • Are there other explanations for what happened?
  • How many people have actually heard this guidance and followed it?
  • What is an inner voice and what are the different ways it conveys its message?
  • What leads us to trust the voice or feeling we receive?
  • Are their signs or tips that might tell us when the message is real?
  • How does “who we are inside” affect our ability to hear our true inner voice?
  • If we are receiving this guidance, how often does it happen…occasionally or every day?
  • Is something beyond us actually looking out for us all the time…if we would only listen?

The more stories that are submitted the more patterns will begin to emerge. Those patterns will help answer these questions.

Hello, I am a DJ at WCNI in New London CT. I received an email today about your book project and possible interviews you may do. I am very interested in getting the book, it is such a wonderful way of exploring ourselves. I have looked over the website for information on how to get a copy but I don’t see it.
Can you give me some information on how to pick it up, I am very excited to start reading it.
    Thanks for your time.
    Alison
