Write Out Your Story

Share Your Story By Writing It Out

For those who prefer to write the story in your own way, we provide a text box where you can do so after answering some preliminary information. Before that text box, there are a series of questions that should give you a good idea about what to include in your story.

  • Questions Your Story Should Answer

    What was the choice you made and the circumstances surrounding it? What was going on inside of you during the moments when you made the choice? (feelings, thoughts, inner voice, etc.) What events, experiences, and others comments led up to the choice? Did any of this seem to lead you toward the choice you finally made? What happened after you made the choice? Did anything surprising or unexpected happen as a result of the choice? What did you learn from this experience?

  • This Is Not A Writing Test

    Don’t worry about how well you write the story. Just get the story down so we can understand it. Misspellings, grammar and so on do not matter. It’s the story itself that counts. If we want to share the story on this website or in the book, we’ll re-write it so it reads well. And yes, we’ll request your permission before we do so and you can tell us if you want your story to be anonymous or not.
